In my prediction we play Argentina in the Semis. I look forward to Emi being the most hated man in the country.

Likely quarters for England are Brazil so, yeah no.

It's absolutely not a given that Brazil beat us. They have been knocked out the last 5 world cups when facing their first European team (in the knockout stages).

I hope England get knocked out at the earliest possible opportunity, but agreed.

The current Brazil side are nothing for England to fret about. They can match them and more.

Spotted a few Villa shirts and flags at the Scotland game.

Was either Scotland or Villa shirts. Didn't really see any others.

New York based Villa fan I follow on BlueSky was at the game in his Villa top and McGinn came over and had pictures with him.

I only watched bits, until the competitive matches start it's too dull watching glorified training sessions.

There is a quite extraordinary article on the BBC website where McNulty appears to dish out a bollocking to Tuchel about what he's doing wrong, almost as if he knows better. Odd.

Tuchel seems to be getting under lots of people's skin by not following the 'rules', which I think is great and is making me warm to him a lot.

So the US grant visas to (some of) the Iranian team but then put ridiculous constraints on them.
It would be unbelievably fantastic if Iran meet and beat the USA at some point in the competition.

According to my eight year old, there's a pretty decent chance of R32 match-ups between USA / Iran and Argentina / Uruguay.

Both of those would probably be good fun.

Most of the Iranians haven't played any competitive football since February so will be tough for them.

Any truth that Christian Eriksen has collapsed again during Denmarks friendly with Ukraine?

Edit. Only thing I can see is something from The Sun 4 minutes ago as I’m not on Twatter.

Denmark statement reads: "Christian Eriksen is conscious and feeling well according to the circumstances. The match has been called off."

Just had a newsflash on TV2 confirming it.
Apparently he recovered consciousness and walked off the pitch himself.
