£200+ for Congo v Uzbekistan. Wankers.

Yep.

Expand the competition so smaller nations have a chance to see their team play at a World Cup, then price their fans out of the stadium.

 >:(

Or not let their fans in fhe country at all

In my prediction we play Argentina in the Semis. I look forward to Emi being the most hated man in the country.

Harsh that Uzbekistan won't wear their home shirt.

Good news that Scotland will wear both their shirts during the group stages. That way, they can't be accused of ripping off their fans.

That's because FIFA knows their shirts won't be used in the knockouts.

For any fans who do attend in 30 to 40C heat, they have decided that bringing your own water bottles to the stadium is a no-no.

"Ceci n'est pas un maillot"

No indeed. It's an abomination.

No sure how true it is but there are videos doing the rounds of turf being laid directly on concrete. If it turns out to be true there's going to be a few serious knee injuries.

I very much doubt it is given the amount of time they’ve had to prepare for this. I haven’t seen any such videos but I suspect it’s compacted ground which might appear visually the same as concrete.

In the comments somebody mentioned it was a friendly game at Charlotte's BOA stadium which won't be a World Cup venue. I hope they're right. There was also a video of Senegal testing the pitch and ball wasn't bouncing.
