According to my eight year old, there's a pretty decent chance of R32 match-ups between USA / Iran and Argentina / Uruguay.

Both of those would probably be good fun.

Haven't seen Uruguay for a few years, probably since the last World Cup, but noticed they now have Bielsa as manager. Hopefully they will be fun to watch.

I got USA v Iaran, Argentina v Uruguay and Scotland v Mexico. That latter fixture would be tasty chez Ealing.

Suspect the weather would favour Mexico against our brave Tartan boys.

I think the Irish team has only just cooled off after playing Mexico in Orlando.

You might have a point there.

This really is disgusting.

World Cups are great opportunities to get new people into football, especially for places like the USA where there is room to grow.

But they’ve fucked this up massively.

Yep.

Expand the competition so smaller nations have a chance to see their team play at a World Cup, then price their fans out of the stadium.
