How could anyone be sure he got a touch on that? They just guessed didn’t they? Still, pleased for McPhee but feel sad for the blond Croatian potty mouthed lady.

No angle shows that it definitely touched the attacker, and you have to be that certain to rule it out.

Yep, clear and obvious. Not 100% so got to go with referees original decision.
Either VAR can show it’s offside or it can’t , the idea it’s then sent to the ref with one picture is ridiculous.
Nothing shown so far shows that it was touched by the Croatia player.

No, they went by the chip in the ball. They showed snicko on the screen.

You should go to that as it's only down the road.

There is no change in the spin or direction of the ball so it wasn't offside.

I'll have to wait for a Lidl or Aldi to have a Canada week to get Sortilège!

I assume they are saying it hit his head

It hit his head but the question seems to have been if the Team Ron player 2nd in line behind him made deliberate contact with the ball when it hit his head. Apparently not deliberate so not playing the Croat guy who knocked the ball back across was offside as a result.

Visually there isn't enough in it to be clear and obvious. If snicko is a thing now and the technology is 100% accurate (funnily enough I've just posted about Nyland), then okay. I'd be raging. Imagine Villa getting knocked out of the Champions League, equalising at that time, to that. I'd never get over it.

A chip is not a sensor.
