One that never, ever loses a match or makes any tactical decisions that any fans ever disagree with.

I'm OK with debatable decisions, just not ones that are derided by literally every other human being on the planet, including as yet undiscovered tribes in the deepest forests of Papua New Guinea.

You wouldn't be though, if England had kept attacking and lost, you and every other deluded England fan would be moaning that he didn't tighten up the defence.

Basically, you don't think England should ever not win a major tournament. Based on their glorious history of winning as many as Portugal, Denmark and Greece.

Ollie Watkins has to wonder what the hell he did wrong. Brilliant end of season, and he’s been completely snubbed

England should win every competition they enter. Be it the World Cup, cricket, knitting or rolling cheese downhill. Because we're better than anyone else as all true patriots know.

Yeah, not worth giving up my beauty sleep lying awake thinking about everything.

Feckin' fair-weather fans. >:(

I'll be cheering on Tommy Tuchel's Boys, even if it goes to extra-time. C'mon England!!

I just can't believe you're defending a manager who went five at the back.

Why is Kane not playing? Does this game not count for golden boot?

Silence is golden
Boots are made for walking

Learned this listening to my transistor radio receiver back in the day.

I'm very surprised that Rogers has been picked to start this game.

I'm surprised Watkins hasn't once Kane gave up the golden boot option.

I twas thinking Tuchel made up his mind on Watkins when he dropped him from the squad. But then he hit his purple patch and he felt he had to take him anyway, but recalled Toney cos he didn’t really want to rely on Watkins.

I think he picks Toney as the closest equivalent in terms of style of play to Kane - which he’s why he’s starting. Ollie plays differently. I wouldn’t make that call, but I suspect that is it.

The vast majority of regular English people have no sense of entitlement regarding sport, or anything else for that matter. Indeed many are the complete opposite and lack self-esteem. If you think it is bad in England, you better stay away from the US, where it is 'obnoxious on steroids' - level and the word humility is not even in the Merriam-Webster dictionary. (I know TV knows this given his proximity)
The media love nothing better than to whip up the people into a frenzy of hope and delusion - much of it is their escape from the monotony of daily life, and sadly during every competition, joe public falls for the scam. Over and over.

Only Rice to hold the midfield.
TT is such a prune.
