If you feel that strongly about the sponsor - don’t buy the shirt, return season tickets and don’t go to the games -

Personally if this is the best deal that the club can make and judging by the photo this was not signed recently, then we have to accept it - what would fans rather have no FOS and then struggle even more to comply with the various rules - SCr etc..

If you feel that strongly about people having morals and discussing them, stop reading the posts.

I have morals, and if you don’t like them, I have others.

Indeed. Love the binary implication here and also the suggestion giving up Villa is something easy to do. Unsurprisingly this is what sports washing is about.

I also think this is a poor choice/decision by the club. It does feel that money is above any notion of principle or ethical consideration with this deal. I think we all want our club to set standards not simply be an empty vessel for the highest buffer.

I hated the kit already. The sponsor is just the icing on the cake.

Just in case you're unsure about buying the kit with the sponsor on just Google M23 Rwanda.
The human rights watch website has a post, about a month ago, about Rwanda and it's work in the Congo.
Is the away top going to have "Enjoy human rights violations" on it?

Again, on the fair value chart anything up to £26m would've been accepted from a related party so if this is just about money it doesn't make sense and the suggested nearly £20m.

I'm not sure what's worse. The disastrous 24 hours we have had topped off by an unethical sponsor or the way so many villa fans react with this sort of shit. We are a 150 year old institution that once stood for something. Maybe the overton window has shifted so far that we are meant to turn the other cheek when it comes to things like authoritarianism.

Don't think I have ever felt so close to closing down a near four decade obsession with The Villa

Anyone booked up yet?  £500-£750 for a return flight.

Poor choice by the club & I suspect they've hung on as long as possible to see if other sponsors matched the price. But with the number of clubs looking for new sponsors I guess the options were limited.

Having said that, I think the majority people won't give a shite who's sponsoring the shirt.
Would have done years ago but realised that some people don't really care as it won't make a difference to their lives unless it effects themselves and won't have much influence on world events
