Can see Foden starting and doing well and all the newspapers bemoaning him being left out the squad then.

Or a knee-high challenge on Rogers as he bids to become a last-minute injury replacement?

(this is a joke, obviously)

Its not so much losing this game, but I was concerned against Palace 2 years ago they would reach the club record 8-0 defeat against Chelsea; I would sure like a positive goal difference to finish the season with!

I’ll be honest I don’t believe anyone who says they don’t care if we lose by a record scoreline.

Don’t get me wrong I’m not that fussed by the game, but I’d rather European triumph isn’t followed up by an absolute hammering.

I think something like 4-0 wouldn’t be a shock

We're 1/2 to finish top 4, and Liverpool are 6/4. I don't think the punters watched our parade yesterday.

Probably says more about how confident they are about Liverpool beating Brentford.

Agreed. Behaving like a big club is half the trick.

I'd take that now. I think it'll be closer to double.

If anyone offered me 4-0 with no catastrophic injuries, combined with Everton and West Ham wins, I'd take that.

Liverpool are 3/4 to win at home to Brentford.

Think its going to have the feeling of a charity match - plenty of players on both sides off to the world cup - Pep leaving, us half cut.

Think they should lean into it - 11 subs a team - bring in some old pros for both sides.

With those two other results absolutely.
