Some good facts on the game on Pravda.

https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2026/may/28/uel-postmatch-interesting-facts-behind-villa-s-europa-league-success/

I particularly liked the bolded bits.

Quote
Overall, the Villans won 13 matches in the Europa League proper this campaign, the joint-most of any winning team in the tournament's 17-year history under its current guise, with the exception of qualifiers.

This record saw them ensure they still have the most wins of any side in European competitions since start of the 2023/24 campaign (27), which will be levelled by Paris Saint-Germain this weekend should they defeat Arsenal in Saturday's Champions League final. Villa's 17 clean sheets in that time is bettered only by the Gunners.

For those one person who will be supporting Arse on Saturday, we need to hope PSG don't win to go level with us.
No, we'll beat them in Salzburg in few months anyway to get it back, plus we make ground on the clean sheets.

That's a wonderful piece of writing exigo!
Well done mate and be proud.
Strikes a strong chord because of the family connections etc...Uncle Frank was born in Aston and two of his three boys, Frank Jnr and Amos, also played for The Villa and were born in the same house as their Dad! We lived round the corner, so saw them regularly, especially at family functions. It goes without saying that the whole family was Villa. I was christened at St Peter and St Paul's and attended my first away game, making my own way, when I was 14. I was hooked! It's in the blood. Just got off the phone with my 90 year old cousin John, who could hardly control his absolute delight in what The Villa have achieved in the last few weeks.
Thank you so much for putting my feelings, and so many of us, into the words that I could only dream of.

Was there any coverage of the fans park or the centre of Istanbul during the game anywhere at all ?

I didn't see any. No alcohol there meant people couldn't throw beer over each other, so the news outlets didn't bother covering it.
There was alcohol being served in the fans park during the day .

Heard rumours before the day of the game the Fanzone in Taskim was due to be a dry one.

But they were serving overpriced pints of Efes before during and after.
