Feeling especially pleased for McGinn - what a journey with the club

100% this, I felt I wanted this trophy for McGinn just as much as I wanted it for Villa.

John McGinn you joined us when we were on our arse, you stayed loyal to us when others took the easy option. All the pictures of McGinn lifting the Europa League is the legacy he deserves.

Honestly, with the monkey off our back as a fanbase and as a club, it wouldn't surprise me to see him lift more for us.

He looks as fit and is playing as well as ever, and while I personally think PL or CL is out of reach during his likely remaining career with us, FA and League Cups are all to play for.

Just got back to my hotel. A beautiful beautiful day here in Istanbul, the shitty weather didn’t dampen spirits, you sensed a purpose among those of us lucky enough to have tickets more than matched by Unai and our team of wonderful players. It was a truly wonderful night.

I think my legs are about to fall off as the walk back from the stadium up that hill, fuck me I felt like Edmund Hilary conquering Everest when we got back to Taksim Square. A lovely couple of quiet beers to soak in the achievement and now to bed. Good night all of you, we must never forget how lucky we are to support this wonderful
Club and never take for granted when success comes our way.

And those of you who didn’t get to come today, enjoy the parade that’s your time to shine.

Up the Villa.

Great performance! Fully deserved. I think it'll be PSG in the super cup. Bring it on!
