The referee for the game is François Letexier from France, which is a good omen as the ref in Rotterdam was Georges Konrath, also from France.

Assume Dibu will be sent off then.

Knowing next to nothing about German football, can someone tell me me, roughly what English team equates to Freiburg?

Inoffensive as Fulham, punching above their weight like Brentford according to a journalist  on Luke's UTB Fan channel.

It looks as though the team are on a specially chartered flight with 2Excel Aviation, scheduled to leave BHX at 15.00hrs today, Boeing 737, flight number: BRO165A.

Well, more comparisons to 1982 for you… this is their first european final, facing the favourites, who are filled with internationals.

Let’s just hope they don’t have shins!

Always kind of interesting to see how outsiders view the final. (review of the EL season for each team, and final prediction)

Hopefully not Crystal Palace.

On the Villa reddit thread about them they are described as like Crystal Palace.

Ok, so not completely shit, then.

But that's relative to their league. The Fulham or Brentford of the Bundesliga would (most of the time) get walloped by the Fulham or Brentford of the Premier League.

Last time they played an English team in Europe two years ago, West Ham won 5-0.

Drop then in England for a season and they'd be a good bet for promotion from the Championship.

Which isn't to say we can't or won't lose to them - we've lost plenty of times to teams like that before.
