Sitting in the Holte End waiting for the players to come out after the match had ended, it hit me that these really are special times.  Just comprehensively beaten 4th placed Liverpool to confirm a Champions League spot, with a European final on the horizon next week.

Tried to watch it but gave up after the first three as couldn't understand their incredibly thick Scouse accents.

I spoke to two Scousers before the match*.

A Conference League Semi Final
Champions League Qualification
FA Cup Semi Final
Europa League Final
Champions League Qualification
...beginning to unlodge the big 6
...not doing too bad so far the boy Emery

Do you think it will ever be reported that way??

He has not even made the Manager of the years shortlist. Some really bitter fuckers in the mainstream media.

I'm guessing Tony Morley for one.

“Villa were just too good for Liverpool”

Not many times I’ve heard that in my lifetime.

Supreme performance, especially with Wednesday on the horizon. Given every obstacle in our way, Champions League qualification again is an incredible achievement.

Now, just one more.

I think it's the first time we have beaten Man U, Liverpool and Arsenal in the league in the same season since 1977/78.
