Anybody any suggestions for Istanbul? I have a clear day on Tuesday.

Someone posted some amazing restaurant recommendations in Bologna which were awesome and I was v grateful!

Loads of cool stuff to do, it’s a brilliant city. If you’ve never been and just have one day suggest Hagia Sophia, grand bazaar, ferry to Asia and back, and the underground cisterns (as featured in From Russia with Love!) maybe Topkapi Palace too if you can fit it in. All roughly in the same area and walkable.

Superb thank you! Exactly what I needed!

A thought just struck me:

This thread is about a European final. A final we're playing in. What a journey.

That struck me earlier. I was 12 for our last one, I'd better not be 100 for our next one.

A massive thanks to Dave Woodhall, I logged onto here around midnight after the game and saw the thread saying UEFA were selling prime tickets. Thought I’d take a look and managed to get two, over the moon as I think I’d struggle with our allocation.

For anyone else who has purchased through UEFA, have you downloaded the app and do the tickets or a record of the tickets show? I’ve got the email and the eye watering invoice but it hasn’t pulled through to the app although I’m guessing it might be a bit early.

I’m also flying from Heathrow on Tuesday at 22:40 and then back via Copenhagen on Thursday morning. Taking my 9 year old and he doesn’t know how good he’s got it.

This is the problem.

My daughter made the same point at the dinner table yesterday when I told her I was 10 the last time we got to a European final. I’d better not be 98 for our next one.

You lucky people, Ray Grayden at Wembley is my lasting memory and that was over fifty years ago, I hope you all come back with something to remember, enjoy.

I am flying Turkish from Birmingham on Tuesday and of course the airport will have priority that day as the Royal Aston Villa will flyout.

What time do you get there?
23:35 however the fare I paid gives me an option to switch to their earlier fight on the day if there is availability.
Somehow I doubt that'll happen.
Yes very unlikely. I may not even bother checking.

12 of us with more money than sense could have a 'sky box' for €1290 each.

We’re looking at this. It says minimum 12, we’ve got 4 of us (possibly a 5th) up for it. If anyone would be looking to split then let me know 👍

A bit short notice for me to organise an overpriced ticket dont fancy the Alcohol free fan zone.
I was at our first game in Istanbul, way back in the day
I hope the natives are a bit friendlier then back then
So it is the comfort of the TV for me
Safe travels for all that are going and bring back the cup.

Just looking at last year's season ticket renewal advert and it still says season tickets holders get priority cup tickets as a benefit, how are they getting away with that nonsense still 🤣

Members and STHs with all home games are the same criteria. I've long accepted they don't care about STHs but at least remove that bullshit from next year's advert.

A moot point Max but let's not spoil this thread with that. :)
