We don't have a Luca Lynch thread. There's a touch of the Brian Little about him.

You’re right, he definitely looks like he cuts his own hair.

Bitch!

Express and Star linking us with Dutch international Koopmeiners for around 25mill.

It's a yes from me, if nothing else he's very good on penalties and set pieces, aside from that he's got goals in him.

And give Juventus the money to buy Martinez?

He didn't have a great 2025–26, and Douglas Luiz's pre-season form has pushed him even further down the pecking order.

He was a beast under Gasperini at Atalanta between 2022 and 2024, but I'd be wary of spending a significant fee on a 28-year-old.

Wait, Douglas is looking good for Juve this summer? Fcuk, was hoping we'd nab him on deadline day.

Ha yeah, apparently so! Scored the other day Vs Nice, and Spalletti seems to be a fan.

We need a quite specific type of centre mid at the moment, which I imagine is difficult to simply pick up easily in the shops we are in. One that can see a pass, do well on set plays but still be tenacious enough to get their foot in etc, and cover a lot of ground. Tielemans was always going to be the most difficult to replace.

Is it still the case that we have to sell a player to be able to buy - if that is correct now the Bailey deal is not happening who will we try to sell now?

Straight swap Bailey for Koopmeiners.

Nause them out with derisory offers for the rest of the summer.

Yes, he's gone off the boil and doesn't score many goals for Juventus - no league goals last season. However, he did feature as a sub in all of the Dutch games at the World Cup.

His Juventus and National statistics would suggest otherwise. 1 goal in about 20 appearances.

From Sky:

Aston Villa are trying to sign Barcelona wonderkid Marc Bernal, according to The Sun.

Unai Emery has reportedly made Bernal his No.1 target, with Villa set to test Barcelona's resolve with opening £30m bid.

Man City have also reportedly enquired for Bernal.

I’m not a fan of signing Barcelona wonder kids (though I can only remember us signing Barry (not that one) and Traoré (not that one).
