OFFICIAL: Real Madrid sign Carlos Espi

wow

Someone is going to get Endrick out of this. I don’t think he’s on big wages either.

Seems joelinton is on his way to Saudi now.  Not villa related obviously but jeez we think we’ve got it bad.

Sorry correction he’s expressed his desire to leave Newcastle and go to Saudi.  Nothing specific just that.

Wor Eddie has accelerated the exodus. There'll be no one left to mind all the babbies they've just signed.

You hate to see it. If Newcastle fall away and we can hang in there solo as challengers to the cartel, that ain't a bad thing.

Yes, the Jaudis have it bad, but will Emery deal with this restrictive shite next year. Penalised and restricted no matter how well the club gets on. It's  shamful how the system is protecting the so called Sky Six. Fuck them . Look at Infantino's shit this week and tell us all that there is not a finger on the scales for the big clubs/countries.

Given that most of the big teams are European and they are flat out rejecting im not sure that’s the greatest example.
Are clubs, nations and individuals just out for themselves though. Absolutely.

It's a shame that the long-awaited partnership between Wahhabism and Newcastle Brown Ale isn't going to plan any more.

While I sympathise with any decent football fan whose club turns to shit, I can’t feel anything but joy at Newcastle falling apart.

States should not own football clubs. In this instance, the rules are actually (accidentally) doing the right thing and stopping this abomination.

While we have many similarities recently with Newcastle, we are slowly progressing and making our way upwards. Each season has seen us get closer to where we need to be financially as our consistency has helped us.

It’s not always going to be this hard for us.

Unless we miss a season in the Champions League

I’m not rejoicing in Newcastle’s apparent downfall. Even backed by state wealth (which like most I don’t love, but is it really that different from being backed by billionaires with no real connection to the club?), and with a large / loyal following, they found the rules too difficult to overcome. Yes there were also other factors like the Saudi eye being turned towards their domestic league, but still, this should not be a source of joy to us.

Good, get the fecking menace out of the league.

I’m fully on board with the annoyance that the big 5 & Spurs always pick off competitors players to keep them in their box but Joelinton way of tackling is dangerous

I think nation state ownership is much worse than mere billionaires owning clubs.  But the rest of it, yeah.  We've lost 3 first teamers already this summer to comply with rules that are set to protect the usual suspects.  Newcastle are going to really struggle this season and it remains to be seen what we'll be able to do.  Most actual Newcastle fans I've met in real life have been sound - they aren't all horse punching saudi robe wearing twats.

Howe won them a cup and got them into 2 CLs. Similar to Unai if not quite as good but he's been one of their best managers for decades as he would have been for us if he'd managed that at Villa.p
