I wonder given the managerial turnover if it would be wise if possible to hold some funds back in case a 'market opportunity' opens in January.

Could be a good time putting in a bid for Lewis Hall now that Howe has left the Toon, they seem in disarray.

Great player and very unlucky not to go to the World Cup. Would they be open to selling another first teamer after losing Gordon, Tonali and probably Guimares? He’d definitely come in as first choice left back though.

Nah, Hall is perfect for the way their new manager likes to play.

You're familiar with the Saudi and Austrian leagues? Impressive.

No. ;D

Do think that if we're worried about all the chop and change to the Villa squad and coaching this Summer, how are the Geordies feeling?

Covers the right back position too.  Maybe having three full backs plus Konsa, Lindy and Ned as emergency cover would be enough.

Ned is nowhere near good enough

I have seen a number of the Geordie podcasters insta posts - and when you can decipher what they are saying they are very worried.  But surprisingly a large number seemed to want Howe to leave.  Equally unsurprising is the number of posts asking them to go and get Guardiola.

Leon is apparently staying back at Bodymoor Heath instead of travelling to the far East.  Hopefully he gets his move sorted now.

No.  But I read about him when I saw the story and it sounds like he uses a high energy press and advanced fullbacks.

He seems to be a bit of a Hurzeler type.  But the difference being their expectancy levels are off the scale up there.

Who is the rumoured replacement?

That'd be a proper test of his ability and great for the PL.  Luckily for us it will never happen.

Yes, we shall fortunately be spared Geordiola.

There's no reason for him to take that job, he doesn't need the money, he's going to have his hands tied like at no time before in his career, and the risk to his reputation when it didn't work out would not be worth the potential rewards if he were to succeed.

As always, though - the Bruce is out there.  ;D
