Jesus, do we all have to say 'package' now just because Romano does?
I believe making a package is part of the process of preparing a bid.

I heard 8-12m mentioned, which is very decent money for Mings, but leaves a huge hole in the squad.

That would be good going for him being as he only has a year left on his contract. I can see why he would want to move on while he can, though. I'm not sure how many minutes he's going to get next season for us.

I guess it depends if they think we can get by with Torres, Konsa, Cisse, and Lindelof.

That seems a lot of money for Mings

Does Torres have a 50+ game season in him? Think we need an experienced replacement for Mings with an eye to moving Konsa or Torres on in 12 months from a position of strength.

Can’t see anyone paying that much. He would leave a gap in leadership terms, but if Ty is playing more than a few games this season we’re in trouble. He’s a real modern era legend for the club, but he’s not at the level we need now.

I could easily see a promoted club paying 10m for Mings. He's a top level backs to the wall Premier League defender, who would have more than 18 England caps if his ACL didn't go. You get, what, two years out of him? Could be the difference between staying up and going down. Think he's a really savvy signing for Coventry if they do it.

Would personally be sad to see him go. A big favourite of mine. But yeah, it's probably time.

I had Mings to go this summer I must admit, I'm not sure I saw him play really that well in any game last season. He is a Villa legend though, he has achieved that status by playing for us both in the championship and the champions league, and he's given us the best years of his career. He's been pretty excellent all round.

That said, with all the players that have left so far with maybe more to come I'm less sure. We need some experience around to settle the young new lads in.
£12m would be a decent amount mind, shame it's Coventry really.

He is captain material for cov. But his best days are behind him.

Deserves legend status forever at Villa Park.

Would be a bit harsh to send him to Coventry after the service he's provided for us.

Good to see we still want a right winger although the pool is getting smaller on options. If Mbaye is off the table, Summerville has gone to Saudi and Barnes has signed a new deal, who else were we linked with? I think I'd almost prefer a punt on Gittens than Jackson out of Chelsea.

One at Feynoord that plays on the right with a lovely left peg from highlights I saw?

There was another really young kid but think he's going to Chelsea too.

Ndiaye from Everton please.

Looked a good player every time I've seen him play.

I’d much prefer Jackson to Gittens.
