We do seem to have quite a habit of selling players at the peak of their value. Off the top of my head I cant think of an obvious one thats moved on since we've sold them for more.

Yes, whilst it's a lot of money, it's not really a gamble at all. He played nearly every game possible, rarely gets injured if at all, and was a key reason why we have done so well in the last two seasons.
