🚨 Ezri Konsa is Arsenal’s first-choice defensive target.
@SamiMokbel_BBC

From a personal perspective this is funny, as my Arsenal-supporting nephew from Coventry (who we’re all ashamed of) spent the entire World Cup laying into him.

Right….everyone raved about Lindelof (who normally plays on the right side of central defence)…… a season there with Cisse breaking through to eventually take over makes sense…..I feel we can lose Kinsa without a massive detrimental effect on the team.

I think we still need another midfielder, the squad is still a bit thin without Onana being available.  I also can't see much in the way of game-changers off the bench.  I'd like another number 10 if we have the money.

Arsenal have probably already spoken to Konsa and agreed personal terms, they know he wants the move and are relying on him agitating for the move, hence the very low bid.  They can fuck off.

We absolutely need bodies. We’re Tielemans, Rogers, Onana, Digne and a Kamara coming back down vs last year. Arguably we’ve replaced the first 3 in some guise but that’s asking a lot of the players coming in and that’s before the holes we already knew we had. We need a LB, RB cover, centre mid and another attacking player.

I agree, I hope we have the money and find a few gems out there.

Konsa wants the move?

Why are they always such dickheads.

He’s a Londoner. Still lives in London. Would be easier for him to commute and even though they look like the reincarnation of the Stoke team they used to hate 20 years ago, Arsenal are champions.

If he moves to Arsenal I’m going to lose my shit every time he does that dive to win a free kick.

I agree with this assessment.

Happy enough with the left-backs if we get Estupinan.

Would really really like Garner for CM & RB cover.

It’s a low bar to improve on Leon & Evann on last season’s form, so should be an easy win for Unai & Olabe there. Although according to Tanswell, Evann thinks he can impress Emery in pre-season and be a success.

Look at Buendia. There's been a lot of humble pie set out on the H&V table even if those who thought he was, what was it,..'lightweight, easily push off the ball, utter shite etc' that suddenly became his biggest fans. Then there was the rest of us who recognised quality when we saw it.

We know who you are. Suckers!

I don’t know who they are, but I always rated him.

As our team is becoming increasingly younger I can see little Emi taking on more of a leadership role next season

Not sure why he’d move knowing he’s going there as cover for Saliba’s injury?

He’d almost certainly be 3rd choice centre-back, playing in the domestic cups and missing all the big games when everyone is fit.

If Arsenal have a short term centre back issue, then surely they’d just get John Stones on a free?

If he goes, I’ll be disappointed, but I suspect not as disappointed as he’ll be when everyone there is fit.

It will be interesting to see how little Emi does this season - for me he is still a decent substitute- bring him on for the last 20 minutes of the game

He did well in the 6 games of last season but in a lot of performances before that he was quite poor
