As said Above Percy said we might need to sell one more big player - which I am assuming is Konsa - if so it would be pretty gutting to see so much of our first team having to be sold. 

Also saw that Chelsea are in for Alex Scott - seems crazy that they have the similar issues to us but it doesn’t seem to have affected them.  Even without Cahmpions League. 

I am trying to stop moaning about the rules - they are what they are - and I’m still convinced it contributes to us not winning anything at the international level or Champions Leagues that often.  But most clubs seem happy enough with it

Anyway - Unai is used to this kind of situation and hopefully we’ll get a team that sets us up for the next 5 years at the end of it

I don’t understand the Saudi plan for their league. If no one cared when it was a novel thing for players like Ronaldo and Mahrez to go there why would they care when it’s players like Summerville now.

I get that the aim is sports washing but you’d think it would still have to attract some attention for that to work. They’d probably attract as much attention for just setting light to hundreds of millions of pounds in an empty stadium in the desert which is effectively what they’re doing.

The KLF book by John Higgs covers it brilliantly (burning a million quid).  I'd highly recommend it, it goes on all sorts of weird tangents, but it does (sort of) give a bit of an insight in to why they burnt the money and why they might not be repentant about it.

I’m not convinced we do but the football earnings rule means we can’t make more than €60m loss over 3 years which presumably means we need to make a profit this year.

Not quite, it's a baseline of €60m but with another €30m potentially available. As we have no real debt and have had no issues regarding FER we should be eligible for that full addition so €90m is the real cap. Given we haven't struggled with that for the last 2 campaigns it isn't going to suddenly become a problem in this one when our underlying finances are much stronger now than they were in the year that will have just dropped off.

Depending on where we end up and how much we want to reshape the squad there is no way we can’t demonstrate huge steps to complying with UEFA’s demands.
The worse we will get is a fine if we fall short under one of the conditions.
Not one reputable source has been able to demonstrate and more importantly quantify why we must make more sales other than by choice.
