Rowe is not good enough to play for us and is also a massive whopper.

I think Rowe is massively overrated by some of our fans on the back of one decent performance. From what I've seen he makes Bailey look lion-hearted and consistent.

Is the right answer - one good game against us is not a reason to sign him. Look at his career stats.

With all the wages we have managed to get off the books, Digne, Rogers, Malen, Sancho, Luiz, Elliot, Tielemans etc etc, I did a rough work out today to somewhere in the region of 600k per week, I can't help feeling that we are working on something big.  Big, as in, we want Rashford back, or someone not yet linked.  I also think we need another number 10.

While I think he’s a good player, I’d be very disappointed Mr Dawg if we lashed out £36M on Rowe.

Fair enough.  I was trying to make Summerville work, but I was seeing an estimated fee of £40m.

I think there is something there with Rowe but tales, and evidence, of a bad attitude have followed him from club to club. Still, UE has taken others with that failing.

3 goals and 3 assists in each of his top flight domestic seasons (Ligue 1 and Serie A). That would not convince me he’s got enough about him even without some of the behaviour issues.

Not impossible that he kicks on obviously, but feel there will be much better options to consider.

Yeah, no to Rowe and Summerville. Give me someone I haven't heard of. I don't know how many times I have to tell them.

We must be in the market for 2 forwards that can play wide and at 10. If we're not, having let Rogers, Sancho, Elliot and Bailey all leave, we're going to be very thin going forward. Likewise, if Manzambi is seem as a 10 or left sided forward, we need another body in midfield. Champions league is harder work than Europa, we need to be ready for it.

Mbaye looks brilliant but is 18. If we sign him a 23-27 year old starting 11 quality forward is also needed  as you can't rely on an 18 year old so season. Ezzazouli (sp) at Betis has at least got stats that look like they could fill the Rogers goal contribution hole.

just break the bank and get Rashford and Mbaye for £90m. Get Estupinian for £15m and a RB (ideally not Royal) for the same. Sell Bailey for £10-£15m and ideally Guessand for as much as possible. job done

I like the cut of your jib sir.

Rashford gives us immediate credibility. A proper superstar as he proved when he was here before. It’s the money issue. While I expect he will still command top money if he wants what he’s on, then we need to do the right thing and move to other targets.

Rashford and Mbaye would be ideal. One for now, one to ease into the team in the coming seasons.

Wisdom appears to be that Rashford has already ruled out other premier league clubs, I think we are in that basket. If he has, then he is battling it out with Cunha, Mbuemo and Diallo to play up top with Sesko at United, which he is good enough to do still. Wouldn’t shock me at all if they keep him and he has a great season there.
