Been thinking.  Since we have had Unai - has a single player done well out of leaving?  The only one I can think of Jayden.

Luiz, Duran a nightmare.  Dibay, Ramsay no better...

As long as Palhinha snaps Bruno, Porro, Maddison, Guimarães and Tindall he'll go down a hero.

Probably Kessler-Hayden, Sinisalo and Davis.

Palhinha is a very fine player and will be a good acquisition for us.  Not messing around, which is great to see.  Hopefully, Gomes and Estupinan in before we grab a winger and a right back.

And Ben Mee somehow, maybe if he's doing some punditry work or something.

I think I said 4-5 days ago I wouldn't be at all surprised to see us go for Paulinha on loan to cover Onana, it's just too good an opportunity to cover the player with wages covered by FIFA, and as nasty a bastard as he was, he held Spurs together completely last season. If he can rotate with Kamara and take some of the game time pressure off and allow Gomez and Manzambi to play, we'll do ok.

Is it just me or is he an absolute clogger? I get he did well at Spuds out when they were falling to pieces, but it’s not difficult to stand out in that team.

I think he's slightly better than a clogger. Fulham fans thought he was one of the best in the league and at 29 Bayern paid 47m, so he can't be all that bad.

I think he is a quality defensive midfielder

Loan for the season is a no brainer, especially as the wages are covered via Onanas injury

Provides cover and a genuine option instead of Kamara

Youri @ £35 mill in his prime years is a steal.

If he's 29 on a five year deal, I'd say probably 4 of those 5 years are not in any way his prime years.

Tielemans at £35 mil is an absolute steal. Even at 29

I dunno. Any buying club would need to offer a 4 year deal, therefore buying a 33 years old on 200k/week,  That end of the deal needs to be  factored against the ‘low’ transfer fee.  Not many clubs would be prepared to offer that, therefore I think it’s an okay deal.

Kind of. In the same way I think Romero is shite, but he’ll still be playing in a wc final on Sunday.

I suppose I think he’ll be pretty good for us and it’s probably a sensible move, but he’s not my cup of tea. Bit concerned by the loan fee & wages too tbh.

This is why I’m relaxed about players leaving.  I’m convinced Emery has then functioning  - as a team - above their individual ability.
