Absolutely, as somebody just mentioned on a podcast, without the clause he's a £50m player.
Yeah but a 200k a week 5 year contract for a 29 year old - we are never going to start making that mistake again.
Shay Given was signed at 35 on a five year contract on a rumoured £150k a week. That will take some beating.
As I said before, they'll sell Tielemans to Saudi Arabia within the next two summer windows and probably get their money back assuming his legs haven't completely gone.
90k wasn't it. Though he was on summat like £120k at Citeh. Which is why we had to extend the length of the deal.
Didn't think it was a terrible deal at the time in isolation. Keepers can easily go into their late 30s. The one we had just let go to Tottingham did, after all.
He was prob our best player in his first season as well.
