What does it matter what the outside world thinks? We'll come top 4 again, maybe win a trophy again and get to the last 8 of the European Cup, because Emery is the fucking bollocks.

Does the £70m take into account MGW signed a new deal after the spurs debacle? Was the original clause £60m.

Would imagine any new deal would have a release clause for a big boy CL club. Like us.

Being as the Rogers going possibility has been swirling around for a long time now, I’m confident that Emery will have his ideas on how we can progress without him.

He’s got/had all summer to formulate his plans, and it looks like we’re getting him new quality players to work with.

But if we lose to fucking Walsall in pre-season, god help me…  >:(

I’d trust Emery to take a brand new 11 into the top 4. He had an immediate impact the day he joined. Ok, so those players had played together, but he transformed them all. He’d do it again.

As you mentioned in the MR thread, Emery, not the player, is the key.
Like yourself, I’m pretty philosophical about players leaving.
I don’t want Rogers to leave, but I’d be more upset if it was Emi M, Konsa, Kamara, Ollie or Torres, as they’d be very difficult to replace.

For me, though, they could all go as long as Emery stayed, and Super John McGinn of course

🚨🟣🔵 Aston Villa have started working on new top winger after Manzambi and João Gomes deals while working on Estupinan at LB.

New winger targeted by #AVFC as Arsenal are prepared to attack for Morgan Rogers.

We need 2 wide forwards of Rogers goes. One that's a genuine winger to replace Bailey and Sancho, and one that can carry the ball, break lines and link play like Rogers does. Mbaye looks quality, but need an older more ready player too for me. I'd be sorely tempted by Bowen if we could get Mbaye.

Just to add, if we could find any way of getting Mbaye and Gibbs White we would be flying next season.
