Yeah I was thinking 20 then factored in the Barry-effect.

Assuming the Barry figure is accurate, that's more to do with (badly) future-proofing an asset at a time we thought he might be in greater demand.

With Dobbin - we basically had to give a 21 year old Everton youth prospect a bit of a bump-up to make him comfortable enough to indulge our and Everton's accounting jiggery-pokery.

So I reckon he probably went from something like £15k per week at Everton to £20k with us.

Seem quite a decent guess, but even if you round if down to £500k a week it’s still £26m a year.
