I still scratch my head at how remarkably shite Guessand was.

I kind of get how the Elliot shambles came about, but I don't understand how all that recruitment analysis and data came up with a competition winner like Evann.

He was given a decent amount of gametime to get up to speed, but just didn't get out of the blocks.

I assume he is a write-off, but is there any chance he's rehabilitated back into the squad this summer?  Or is he really as shite as he looks?

If Guessand has been one of 3/4 30m signings last summer he would have some slack given to him - as he was the only real price tag signing the focus was laser focussed on him.  There’s clearly a very good player in there but is it as a wide player?, what we saw suggests not so absolutely questions why we went for him when wide was required.

It’s not clear to me there’s a good player in there certainly not at the level we need
Not at this level.

If, and it's a big if, there's any truth in this, then we most certainly have something significant lined up.

I really wouldn't hold your breath.  We are absolutely fcked by SCR.

Then surely we won't sell him, if we can't replace him.

Yes. Plus he has 2 young kids a wife to consider moving them to Turkey.

I was out with a Palace fan last night and Mr Guessand cropped up in the conversation. He reckoned he was OK, didn't set the world alight but didn't steal a living either. Showed no desire for them to buy him.

We won’t be selling Ollie. File under bollocks

Maybe it’s a convoluted way of freeing up space for Rashford, a free like Vlahovic or a high profile loan.

Agree. That’s not a wishlist. I’d just be amazed if they were entertaining it without a plan. Much more likely bollocks or the agent being an agent.

There's no one obvious in our price range that makes selling Watkins make any sense. Keep Watkins, sign Rashford. Sell Abraham. Sorted.

That’d be nice, won’t happen obviously. I know it’s still early ish, but it would be nice to start enhancing the squad.

With the World Cup over for most players, I'd like to think we're working behind the scenes.

99% of rumours are horseshit but it would be nice if some of that horseshit was positive, as opposed to us selling the best goalkeeper in the world for £1.50 and sending our top PL scorer off to Turkey.

The problem we have is that the clubs that want our players know we are in a bit of a financial mess - they will be offering a lot lower prices and we may have to accept them

Both Martinez and Roger’s will go this summer along with a couple of others - although we will still be left with Bailey and Guessand, not sure how we are meant to get top 4 next season

Why are we in a financial mess? I thought we had to sell before we can buy, but didn’t realise we had to sell to survive.
