The Spurs signings will improve them - they’d have to wouldn’t they.

Would they? As per the numbers above, you wouldn't have thought a couple of years ago that losing nobody significant from their squad and bringing in Werner, Solanke, Odobert, Tel, Danso, Bergvall and Gray would see them drop from fifth to seventeenth.

Well I’d say it’s highly unlikely they won’t, especially as being able to pass from midfield is one of their manly issues. Doesn’t mean they’ll be world beaters, but can see them being in the mix for top 8.

It would hard for Spurs to be worse next season.

I think Senesi is a good free transfer,  but not wholly convinced by the others at the fees they are spending. Fermandes is young, but has two consecutive relegations on his CV, and yet his value seems to have doubled in a year.

So can I. Or plausibly even higher.

But given the recent history of everyone involved, everything exploding again is also a firm possibility as well.

I firmly hope you are correct on that one.

I definitely am correct that it's a possibility. Doesn't mean it's going to happen.

Spurs all over. It always comes back to that cock of theirs.

I'm really not sure with Spurs. They've added some decent players but it's a lot of changes and that can cause as many problems as it solves. Add to that the fact that De Zerbi is hardly stable and I think there's a not insignificant chance that they're bottom half and looking for another new manager in November/December.

Or to put it another way, despite all their spending so far I think we've got a better squad than them and I'd be surprised if we don't finish above them, which is all I really care about.

I don't want to just finish above them if they're middle table dross or worse again.

We need to target top 4 and they can piss as much money up the wall as they want.

De Zerbi is a good fit for the players they already have in a way Frank never was. Going from big Ange to set piece Frank was mad stuff. I know we didn't try a leg the same night but they were still impressive at Villa Park. They have lots of good young players. Robertson is an odd signing though. Looked completely finished last season in the PL.

With any luck it ends as well as Kyle Walker's swansong with Burnley.

I suspect he's signed for his attitude as much as anything.

BBC Gossip

Arsenal interested in Konsa.

Fenerbache want Watkins.

Juventus moved on from Martinez (who wants to remain Premier League apparently).

We're interested in the Roma and Morocco player everyone else wants too.

BBC gossip has Konsa going to Arsenal (with Rogers obvs) and Watkins to turkey.  The big boys will no doubt swoop for our whole first team once they’ve prepared their bids and opened their war chests.

We might be OK if we're braced for the bids.

Well according to the article - they think we’ll do business for 85m for Roger’s and 35m for Konsa

So they seem to be more similar to there Ollie and Doug offers then actual offers
