Fernandes has been relegated 2 seasons in a row.

Tonali has a lot of baggage and struggled without Guimares.

Van Hecke looked utter shit every time I saw him last season

Robertson is 32

Senisi is a great pickup.

Dev Zerbi never been anywhere longer than 18 months.

the last point is the most important. De Zerbi blazes in, has some inital good results but is ultimately a dick who falls out with everyone and runs off. He has done it across his career. The longest was around three years at Sassuolo

Yeah, at some point he'll probably not blow up, stick around and do a good job somewhere.

But if I were a betting man, I reckon Spurs is more likely to be yet another place he sets on fire rather than the place he fixes.

Not new news, but Sil Swinkels confirmed gone to the Blades;

They've probably suffered enough recently without people getting them mixed up with their local rivals.

It’s handy, because their stadium looks like a futuristic bog.

I reckon they will lash out another £75M on a forward before the summer is done. Watch the fucker go get that odious ****** Greenwood from his former club.

Tonali has a great shot but how's his technique, pace and off the ball qualities ?

He's a very good player and has caused us problems before. But a fully fit Kamara at the same age is a superior player. Spurs seemed to have
gone from being incredibly frugal to Man United of 5 or 6 years ago and trying to buy success at any price. Going to completely distort the market this summer. Newcastle have loads of cash now after selling Gordon and Tonali but will be rinsed on their replacements cost.

What or who is this fully fit Kamara you speak of kind traveller? In our village we have heard it is mere myth.

It's worth remembering in all this that one of the reasons Spurs had those 17th place finishes to begin with was not spending the money they definitely had! Good business is not always good football business, and if Leeds years ago was proof of the viceversa, the problem with profligacy, Spurs as near as damnit proved that you can be too prudent for your own good.

I’m reading that Juventus are pursuing vicario instead of Martinez as the latter has said he wants to stay in the PL.

I'm sympathetic to the argument that Spurs fans were making back in the day that Levy wasn't spending enough on players (mainly wages) to make the jump from top four to top one, but surely this doesn't stack up?

They spent £170m in 2022 to finish 8th, another £200m in 2023 to move up to fifth, another £150m in 2024 to drop to 17th and another £170m in 2025 (with another £60m in January 2026) to stay 17th.

In the list of reasons why Spurs have spent the last two seasons being rubbish, not spending enough money on new players barely enters the conversation in my eyes.

Were the last fanbase that needs reminding of that, we suffered long enough under Ellis.

They can go and buy whoever they like, I wouldn't swap our midfield for theirs when they're all fit.  Unfortunately that's something which is rarer than a photo of Harry Kane with his mouth closed.

The Spurs signings will improve them - they’d have to wouldn’t they. They’ll be in the mix for Europe you’d think. In our case we just need to be a hell of a lot better with the money we spend.
