Eight Dean Smith players starting. Perhaps we should employ him as head of recruitment. There is some serious longevity in those signings.

Dean Smith built this side, an huge legacy left for Emery to tune it.

I’m surprised it’s Bailey over Sancho who’s been looking very good lately. Glad Cash is back.

Sancho hasn't been very good since maybe his first spell with Dortmund. His cameo v Leeds was gutless in the extreme earlier this season.

Does that mean Dean should have been capable of what Unai has achieved ?

I rewatched The Damned United last night. I'm hoping it's Clough's Leeds rather than Revie's that turns up today.

I thought Sancho had started to look good recently so Bailey instead and Tammy Id have liked a start but just win Villa

Would have started Abrahams for this. Watkins needs a kick up the arse.
