Good side, why no Alysson on the bench at least?

He's cup-tied.
who else has he played for in this season's FAC?
In goal for Liverpool
Oh dear. Someone finally went "there"

Feel a bit for Hemmings not making the bench recently. Interesting we went for Kone who only joined recently.

From October

Quote
Aston Villa is pleased to announce the signing of Mohamed Koné from ASEC Mimosas.

A highly-rated midfielder who has attracted plenty of admirers, Koné joins from one of the leading clubs and academies in Ivory Coast. ASEC Mimosas have produced several high-profile players over the years including the likes of Yaya and Kolo Touré and more recently Odilon Kossounou, Karim Konaté and Touré Bazoumana.

An Under-20 and Under-23 international for his country, Koné graduated from the ASEC’s MimoSifcom Academy and then became a part of the ASEC first team at the age of just 17.

Kone spent a number of weeks at Bodymoor Heath prior to joining the club officially in the summer and he has been playing with the Aston Villa Under-21s team since the start of this season, recently scoring his first competitive goal against Peterborough United in the Vertu Trophy.

Mohamed’s move to Villa is a symbol of the close relationship between Aston Villa and ASEC and signals the start of a productive relationship.

As part of this ongoing relationship, the Club have also invited ASEC to play matches in the UK as well as to Cairo for tournaments at our partner club, ZED FC.

Ooh, Kone on the bench. I was wondering if he might be considered, erm… considering our injuries. Been impressed in the limited time I’ve seen him. Strong and skilful.

Forgotten all about him if I am being honest - hopefully gets 20 mins when we are 3.0 up and Burns has been sent off

Dare I ask why Elliott has disappeared again from the squad?

Plenty of chances given to guys tonight anyway. Barkley at 10 and Rogers on left it looks like. Worried about playing Luiz again, fourth game in 2 weeks for us and he was in bits coming off during the week.

God knows - I suspect we may not see him again at this rate. He did nothing v Brentford and half a dozen half decent games from Bailey may mean we get a better Return on Investment on and off the pitch.
