Has to be said we were very good, calm, measured and composed and sprung them on the break often. Maatsen, Malen and McGinn at 60 for the win.

That's where I'm at. We need to be clinical in front of goal and Watkins really should have scored two in the first 20 minutes.
Very impressed with Onana, taking on the responsibility of driving us forward. A joy to watch.

It’s a good half, but they’ll hit us hard in the second.

My thoughts also, you can see this coming, I think this is Arteta's game plan, Unai will know this, lets see what he does.

Really enjoyable first half. Have liked our shape out of possession. Wide men working hard and full backs have been strong. Arsenal wide open on the counter and Ollie had to punish them for that chance. Horrible contact. To be fair that lump Arsenal have up front should be doing better with those two headers. Neither of our centre backs covered themselves in glory there.

Midfield two have dominated their Spanish duo, neither of them can run. Need a bit more from Rogers. Sancho has been decent and Buendia very sharp and aggressive.

I am not happy when you’re all reasonably satisfied with our first half.

I'm this close to starting an invitation-only forum called The Bells Are Aftab, CD and SE And Stop Fucking Jinxing EveryFucking Thing. That's what I'm thinking of doing. Will dm in due course.

Catchy title.

he didnt hit the ball from the right place and booked rogers  what a wanker
All teams do it, mate
Yeah but the ref doesn't give the opposition a yellow for pointing it out.

Saka is a bit lucky to be on the pitch. Should have a least 1 yellow.

Alan Smith you anally retentive, one eyed, biased, monotone spunk bucket.

I cannot stand it when he commentates on our games

Score first and we win this

Considering we are at full strength and they have loads out it was pretty poor.

Ollie needs to take his chances.

Rogers needs to create more chances and get in there for his.

Sancho, please mate lets see a goal from you, now please.

Fancy Ezri to score one.

Come on Villa, we can do this.

J Mc for Buendia, Sancho to the left.  J Mc offering more cover for Lamare on the right.

I heard their full first and second XI are injured, so not a bad show from them so far
