I’ll admit that after his injury when he came back, I said buendia didn’t look the same player and I thought he should be moved on. Well how lovely it is to be wrong sometimes. He has been great agsin today.

Now I know why I enjoyed the first half so much.

QI, we both have an xG of 0.69.

Which is a great example of why it's not a useful stat for a single game because anyone who thinks we don't deserve our lead is fucking mental.

Another good example of the limitation is that the Cash lob chance was given a 0.01 but I'm sure most people think he should've done better and at least beaten the keeper with it.

We’re still not scoring the easy goals.

What a absolutely  brilliant  first half that was. Am so pleased with that performance. I just hope we keep this tempo and dont go to the slow pedantic stuff and let Bournemouth  back in

No one can handle us when we play like this which is why I never understand why we start passively so often.

I reckon it's that Emery thinks it's hard to keep this up for 90 minutes so he's trying to control the tempo so we can have little phases of pushing it without wearing ourselves out.

Also remember that Emery is aiming to manage the whole season, not just a single game. There's games (Tel Aviv) where we slow things down to a walking pace - as much as we'd like to see a 6-0 spanking, the smarter play is a comfortable 2-0 with a view towards May.

Yep like last season. Can't see it now though.

Probably the best first half this season. Little Emi on fire.

Good game to give Elliott half an hour.
