It's been very slow last couple of days. Maybe someone could try turning it off and on again.

Whatever caused the Nginx time out (DB repair?), everything is now running smoothly for now.

That was me, although no errors were found in the database.
It's still fast/slow/fast/slow for some reason.

Yes, I clicked multiple links and all went through fine, so posted the message and it took ages to actually post.

Edit: But this one was a blink of an eye.

We are getting hammered by spam bots (USA) presently which is not helping.

I blame Woodhall's Birmingham Press articles.

You're not the only ones, from what a couple of friends of mine in other British websites* have told me. A terrible translatlantic sabotage op seems the order of the day.

*One. One other British website. One at absolute least and most.

Putting Leeg in charge of anything IT related has the potential to end civilization as we know it.

He'd be more dangerous than that AI thingy that escaped the other day ;)

For those who got the Gateway Timeout 504 error try  Ctrl + R (Windows) Cmd + R (Mac) or try right clicking the page and [Refresh] or try using the 'Reload' button if you have one on your browser (right of address bar).

You can try these even if you did not get the 'gateway timeout'. I have used them on Bing, Google and DuckDuckGo (not saying it will improve the fast/slow problem but it may be an improvement).
