Lovely Mick Dale

I bumped into Mick at lunchtime today. If you remember him you'll know what a truly wonderful man he is. If you don't, he was a Villa Park tour guide who got absolutely shafted by the club.

He's not been well lately so a few words from everyone might cheer him up. Over to you.

Met him a few times in the 1874 lounge when us plebs were allowed in. Lovely lovely man and a Villa fanatic. Get well soon Mick. UTV!

Mick is a lovely man, a real asset to Villa and his treatment by the club was a disgrace. Take care Mick and get well soon. A big hug next time we meet. (Anne).

I did the tour with Mick, he was the sort of bloke that looked like a Villa Fan, in a good way. His love for the club shone like the sun.

Meet him briefly a couple of times , and like everyone says , a lovely bloke. What stood out for me was the genuine warmth and love the ex players have for him. Ken McNaught was pulling his leg walking across the North Stand Car Park asking Mick ,  "Are you holding Court again !"
Also met him at a Player signing event at the Holte Suite and chatted to Mick and John Robson's two sons (who are both a chip off the old block) , again I could tell immediately they were very comfortable in each others company.
