Love it!
This could easily be my first season of watching The Villa home and away (it wasn't - it was '67/68)....I was 13/14 and totally besotted, but why, I don't know. Or perhaps I do. I just fell in love with following The Villa, regardless of results, difficulties in weather, travel, time, money etc....
My Mum secretly helped a bit with the finances but my paper round paid for the majority. Rubbish results week after week but I couldn't get enough.  And I remember meeting up with the same group of lads for most away games (at Moor Street) - 4 or 5 years older than me, who took pity on a lad on his own and would smuggle me into the pub and get me a pint. If any of you are out there, thank you.
And as an aside....I have a great photo of Amos Moss (my cousin) scoring that goal v Preston with the photographer's scribble on the back giving the details....his header came from a cross by Peter MacParland.
Precious time and memories, regardless of the "success".

Sorry, 1966/67 was my first season of doing away games!
It was tough! ;-)
