I hope they make the Conference, the additional games could be very damaging to their premiership status.

Unfortunately their promotion chances are already sunk.

In preparation for next season I’ve just explained to my son that Coventry fans hate Villa and see us their main rivals. He’s completely baffled, not sure he believes me.

Does this mean we have to start a thread on them in 'Other Football'?
No. That privilege is reserved for local rivals. They don't count by either measure.

My Brother in law (a Blade) reckons they try to concoct a rivalry with them. They just want to matter.

I'm not one for falling out with people, and I've only ever had one football related bit of proper argy bargy (and I've been to Leeds) when a Cov supported ran over and spat at me when we both enjoying the facilities at Corley services. I was genuinely so shocked that I hit him in the face. I'm pretty sure I broke his nose because of the amount of blood.

As I don't have any other tales of random violence from the football barricades, that earns them a special place in my cold little heart.

Dunfermline v Falkirk goes to extra-time (0-0). One shot on target in the whole game, it's lacking the excitement of Brentford v Fulham.

My only bit of football tomfoolery is when some chump swung a punch at my friend and missed, I gave him a little shove in the chest to push him away, he half slipped off a kerb and did that thing where you're falling backwards but running to try and stay upright, before finally going down some distance away.

I looked like a superhero, he looked ridiculous, even a policeman tried not to laugh.

They hate us and are obsessed with us. 87 was a nightmare!

A lot of our support comes from areas they think they should own!

Warwick and Leamington particularly. Nary a cov top in sight in Leamington, all Villa

Kenilworth is very Cov-heavy. Or it was in the 90s, maybe it's changed since they've been out of sight.

Closer to Coventry I guess. I used to drink in the old Firkin pub on the high st and the bear and ragged staff more or less opposite in those days, I don’t remember much football stuff but from memory there were a lot more Warwick uni students in Kenilworth back then.

Broggio looked like the man most likely to win it I thought, but he’s gone off on 105 minutes. Dunfermline could have won it but a 17-year-old kid just missed two great chances, poor fucker.

Dunfermline into the Scottish Cup final. Scored their 4 penalties, Falkirk missed their first two.

Falkirk's tactic of taking the Villa player off before the penalty shootout didn't work.
