Czechia through

Jammy wankers. Why did they get to play at home twice in a row?

Home advantage in the semis is decided by group performance. Home advantage in final decided by draw. So not really that jammy.

Denmark just needed to get a win at home against Belarus or avoid defeat in Glasgow, they've only themselves to blame.

The WC is in no way poorer for not having teams that aren't good enough to qualify. and haven't been good enough for 3 consecutive World Cups. It's like thinking the PL would be poorer if ManU were relegated.

I know it’s not popular on here but I love Italy in a World Cup.  I love a lot of the country.  And they’re a traditional team unlike some of the shit countries getting through these days.

Yeah, no

Isn't that the kind of thinking that results in the Sky 6?

Do you mean shit countries because their teams aren't very good or shit countries because you don't like their regimes?

Why the pile on? You might think I think that but I don’t.

In the end curacao or whatever they’re called can have their three games in the sun.  Good for them.  I think a 48 team World Cup is ludicrous anyway.  I only believe in expanded competitions if it involves Villa.  Because I’m fickle.

A bit harsh on Scotland, but I do think that if you qualify you deserve to be there. I'd just prefer that Italy were there rather than say, Czechia.

What pile on?

You piling on me and assuming you know what I’m equating Italy to in the PL.

Plus I like pile ons.  They generate power.

I meant England but Scotland will do.

That was a reply to Eamonn. And you've said Italy should be there more often than i've said they shouldn't be.

If I said they should be which I don’t think I have then I meant I prefer them there.  I didn’t mean they deserve to be as obviously they’ve not been good enough.

Even though they'll almost certainly not be very good i'll prefer watching Curacao and Haiti over say if it was Sweden and Poland.

Assuming Trump lets them in.

I imagine the average world ranking of the European teams that have missed out is far higher than anywhere else. There'll be 32 non-European countries at the World Cup, half of them Blose.
