I think our key game is v Chelsea this coming week. Win that and doubt they’ll catch us. Lose it and 7th place is where I think we’ll finish at the end of the season

Only Arsenal can prevent this weekend from being a complete clusterfuck

VAR is another layer of cheating added to the game in favour of the Sky 6. Reverse the roles and a Palace forward would not get that penalty and there would be no red card.

Disgusting again.

I’ll be amazed if Arsenal hold their nerve.

Why? I get the injuries part, but we need Chelsea to lose.

I’ve just seen the penalty incident. I’m usually extremely scornful of conspiracy theories end people who believe in them.

But, whether it’s corruption or conscious or unconscious bias, there is not a chance in hell that red card and penalty are given in Palace’s favour. Not a chance.

Reading the comments of Man Utd fans on socials saying it was stonewall makes no odds either. They only think it’s stonewall because they’ve been getting those kind of decisions in their favour for decades, and have therefore come to expect them.

Likewise, if I saw Ollie Watkins go down in a similar fashion, years of conditioning means I would be expect the ref to wave his arms from side to side to signal play on, with at best a 5 second VAR check and at worst a yellow for diving.

Cunha threw himself into the box. There is a utd player and a palace defender in 6 years box, if Cunha got past and squared it  forward might be offside or defender might get there first. Cunha was wide and not in a clear shooting position. Wrong decision on penalty and wrong decision on red card. (Remember Vidic decision at Wembley, foul on Gabby and no other defender) .
If that happens to us in  2 weeks time you can guarantee no penalty
