Me and Risso were at the first game of last season together, I said then they had big problems as they were mush and had just spent a fortune.

Don't watch a huge amount of other football these days but since then they've stood out as the poorest side in the league.

This year, I predicted that unless the promoted teams had an awful season, Wolves, West Ham and Brentford could be down. Obviously Brentford was a surprise package (although they did spend shit-loads of the money they brought in) but the other two was pretty much going to happen, especially when Potter did nothing with them in the 5 months he had last season.

Brentford ended the season with one win in ten, so perhaps like Liverpool after Klopp the predicted decline was just delayed.

Maybe. Might have been just knackered out like our first season under Emery. I would also argue the long throw tactics are starting to be countered as well.

To their utter shame, Sporting lost the Cup Final yesterday to a club I and many others before the final didn't even know existed, Torreense. Second division club from a small town 50 minutes north of Lisbon, they play in a ground with a capacity of 2,431.
The worst thing is, Torreense fully deserved the win, even if it came from an extra time penalty.

I've yet to see the odds on them winning the 2027 Europa League though they must be similar to away fans getting a ticket for trip to Torres Vedras.
