I am sick of hearing/reading the barrage of comments along the lines of 'one decision doesn't make your season', 'it was a mistake - get over it' from Talk Sport, Jonathan Wilson to name but two. The cold light of day fact is that, despite being battered, despite being down to ten men  we had somehow weathered the storm and were finally putting something together when 'that decision' was made. That's what made the difference (probably) between CL and EL with all its implications, not the previous 38 games.

Being a big club means you will have years in which u miss out by the smallest fractions.

Another thing that tends to happen is that supporters from pointless also-rans feel they need to turn up and breathlessly give you their dimwitted opinions.

that's just not true. Another shit United goalkeeper fucked about for no reason and gifted you something you didn't deserve. You didn't create anything. Now how would you feel if United were playing Newcastle and Newc bottled like you did, were totally cowardly and ineffective the whole game and then United just handed them a goal? And remember it was still 0-0 after this happened. You still had champs league. You need to look at your own team.

United fan here, you want to be a big club then you have to eat what happened to you and move on. Being a big club means you will have years in which u miss out by the smallest fractions. United had Cantona banned for a season, we miss out on title final day by 1 point. Same thing with the season Ferdinand was banned. Then u have QPR against City. As soon as QPR learn the other game is over and thus they are safe from relegation, they roll over and concede two goals in injury time, then celebrate with City fans - we lost that league on goal difference. Being a big club means shit happens and sometimes to you.
You wanna know who should be depressed, Forest fans. They spent most of the year in 3rd then fuck up royally their last 10 games. They will not be in a position for champions league again this decade.

If you guys had been in any way decent, then fair enough -you'd deserve the sympathy. But do you really think Newcastle deserve to miss out on champs league because another dickhead United goalkeeper decides to gift the opposition. You didn't create anything, you had no good moments. If it was reversed and we somehow gifted a toothless newcastle side a goal out of nothing, how would you feel missing out because of that? You didn't earn it at any moment on that pitch.
When the goal was disallowed, your manager should have called a bunch of the players to the sideline instead of jumping around like a mad kangaroo and told them, 'hold this'. 0-0 got u in the champs league. Instead y'all were too emotional and blew up. Anyway, with some good signings in the summer I 100% expect you to be up and around the places next year, maybe heartbreak maybe a trophy - that is what you get following a big club.

I honestly don't know whether this twat thinks he is offering a measured opinion on how we should view Sunday's events or is just taking the piss!  What I do know however is that at best he is patronising beyond telling us what a big club would do. And the other thing we all know is if a big club were in the this situation they wouldn't just suck it up they would be demanding a replay on the grounds that the competition was voided by the referees actions and if they did not act our case would actionable in law for compensation.  Oh yes and he can fu ck off right black to the stone which he crawled from!

I dunno, I'm not as outraged about it as I thought I might be. I've convinced myself it was a mistake, but we made fucking loads of them ourselves and we can control that.

. You need to look at your own team.

You need to stop pretending your Grandad was from Manchester and support your local team.

No ones asking for sympathy - just a fair crack of the whip with referees when it comes to playing your lot. The list of injustices is getting longer. Ferguson must be proud that officials still cave just like they did in his day.
