What the rass do people want?

If they do something different, people cry that it's not Villa.

If they do something traditional, people cry that it is the same as last year.

When you've been going for 152 years, there are only so many times you can design a shirt with a claret body and blue sleeves.

Mans need to chill.

Take the star off the crest though.

Not like you to go for the controversial opinion.

I think I’m too old. I’m seeing so many people saying a shirt looks better with a sponsor? I prefer football shirts without a sponsor, they’re ugly.

I’ll get my sponsorless coat.

Like PWS said, it looks fine as a casual top.

I'm surprised at the people who don't want us to win silverware because a kit they won't even buy, might be worn when we win it. Imagine if those people were around in 57?

I got this season's long sleeve, without a sponsor, in the club shop.. Was chuffed to bits with it and then, serving me right for being smug a couple of threads got pulled on the front.

Not seen anybody say that. Is it on here? In any case 57 was a change shirt. Not the home shirt of that season. And loads of replicas of that are sold.

It’ll sell well helping the revenues and helping us afford more/better players to wear it.

Don’t mind it to be fair, would prefer without that neck bit but it’s ok

La Liga had a retro kit gameweek last season where all clubs (except two - guess) sold one off kits for charity.

Strikes me as a great idea. Do it twice season, home and away, it would raise a truck load of cash for a deserving cause and its an opportunity to shine the spotlight on interesting periods in each club’s history.

Adidas etc were happy too as they sold an extra shirt, even if they did make the logos less obvious.

Can someone make this happen please?

We did for our 150th in the FA Cup last year. Except Villa were the charity.

According to Adidas "This jersey draws inspiration from Villa’s most unconventional kits, blending classic elegance with a modern edge."

I was just thinking that.

Hopefully it will look ok in the flesh.

I remember Graham Taylor Mark 1 insisting we return to claret body and blue sleeves. He said he had more letters about the kit than any other subject.
