I’ve been in Canada for almost two weeks now and seen less than half a dozen PL tops in the whole time.

A couple of Arsenal shirts in Vancouver, a child in a Man City shirt in Jasper, and a fine, exemplary human being in, of all things, a Villa 150th anniversary shirt in Banff this morning.

I regularly get an "Up the Villa" from people down here including on Saturday when I was wearing the Blue 1996 shirt.

A few years ago during COVID I went to receive the  vaccination , the location was in a large hall in the CityWest Hotel in Dublin.
After  receiving the jab I was  sitting in the holding area for the mandatory fifteen minutes waiting time, (to ensure  there were no adverse effects).
As i was sat waiting i spotted a guy wearing a Villa shirt stand up to leave and noticed he also had on a Villa hat. As he walked past the area of seats i was in, i shouted a hearty "Up the Villa".
All the people around me looked up from their phones and looked at me as if i was going mad and perhaps suffering an adverse reaction to the jab resulting in an outbreak of Tourettes.
Unfortunately the guy in the Villa shirt seemed to be the only person that didn't hear me and carried on walking towards the exit door, without even acknowledging me or looking around.
I then had to spend another five minutes sitting there feeling uncomfortable until I was able to leave.
It hasn't put me off though, I still give anyone wearing a Villa shirt a good Up the Villa shout.

I went to Blackpool the other weekend for a funeral with my lad and we was saying in the velvet coaster pub , we saw more Villa shirts than any other team including both the Mancs and p'ool  walking round and I got a few UTv from non football shirts too , saw one palace, one wolves  and one albion .  On the downside my gearbox went.

With the club's various price rises, going to Blackpool on holiday is all Villa fans can afford these days.

Oh no! Brilliant story.

The Villa shop in the bullring is a bit of a let down... While it was packed with Sabbath fans filling their baskets (which was great to see) its Villa range is pretty limited and more of an Adidas shop with a Villa section, rather than a stand-alone Villa store.

On the flip side I loved it!

Not been, but aren't we between kits at the moment so possibly not the best time to judge.

My hope is the shop links in with gigs at the Warehouse too.  Touring bands can do signings/sell merch in the city centre, hopefully making a wedge of cash and raising the profile of the warehouse/club in the meantime. For the stadium gigs there should be limited edition official adidas gear.

I'm not keen on the new light green and salmon pink training gear. Not good for those of us with a fair complexion.
