Meanwhile, it’ll allow me time to go and watch my old team, Rushden & Diamonds, on Saturdays and then watch the Villa on the box on Sunday’s. Win, win!!

I didn’t realise they still existed! Rushden and Diamonds, not Villa.
They're a phoenix club now I think. The original merged club went bust.
Quite right, they got as far as league 1 and then went into rapid decline after Max Griggs the owner of Doc Martens left the club and the money dried up. They eventually went out of business but, some supporters got together and got them going again. Have come up through the ranks and now playing in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division, so plenty of matches around Brum area.
Ads, you can only have 1 top club but, most people also have a non league club that they follow the fortunes of.
It’s not that I’ve gone off the actual Villa team as, I will always be Villa but, the cost is just getting too great for me. All I know is that when we were relegated to the Championship and the Club had to shut part of the Trinity stand through lack of enough supporters, they were ringing me to ask if I was renewing my season ticket and, of course I was. You don’t stop supporting a team, no matter what division they are playing in. UTV and I shall still be there in spirit.

Percy, what a lovely story! Good luck to you and your
Family

Cheers Skerra, same to you.

Thinking about it now, The Villa is and has been such a huge part of my life. I could easily have been one of Peter Morris’s little kids running about looking for Brian Little, as the ground was our adventure playground around that time on weekdays and in summer holidays, and we did manage to get into some corridors on our adventures. Things only intensified in my teenage years, when I made hundreds of friends there and got into many scrapes going home and away. I then worked there for over twenty years, and as I say, met my future wife there while selling the fanzine on Trinity Road. Two of my books are heavily Villa-centric. Like The Beat, I just can’t stop it.

Which books have you written Percy?

The others are King City and Star-spangled Villans.

If anyone else is interested dm me so Bezos doesn’t get to keep most of the money.

I’d have thought Percy would have a biography on Diego Carlos in the works.

I’d have thought Percy would have a biography on Diego Carlos in the works.

I’ll give it a go based on what I’ve posted about him.

Chapter One

“While Mings was out injured, Carlos was part of Villa’s best performing defence”.

The End.

I posted a lot about him because some people who couldn’t count or remember Aston Villa football results denied this basic truth and argued until they were blue in the face the equivalent of 2+2=5.

Chapter 7: "Get tighter to Delap you daft twat"

Doesn’t trump Chapter 1.

There's some great characters in it, especially the twat who turns up at the wrong pub.

My mate Martin is seriously big into his music, has played in bands since he was 14, is the man to know if you need a music Sherpa at a festival or to secure tickets for something.

Reckon it’ll be the perfect gift to thank him for putting up with my curmudgeonly shite for 25+ years. 😂.

He’s done that little stage at Villa a few times but was more excited afterwards about his chat with Mark Draper who is apparently a big led zeppelin fan.

Renewed, in case anyone else doing the same, 1st V12 payment date defaulted to 26/7, moved in a second to 27/7, options 1-28/7 available.

I was also reminded by/to do this thank you

NorthYvillan,  re the app, ensure you're logged in.
Click "Manage"
Click "Manage Account"
Go to your friends/family list
Click "Manage my Relationships"
Click "Add"
Then determine Relationship Type and follow instructions.
This worked for me the other day without renewing yet.

Mine are already on there, but I couldn’t see a way to specify the 6 particularly for the ST reallocation, can anyone help?

Renewed today. A little tip if you use V12. You can login and change the payment date.
