GotS 2024/25
« on: May 09, 2025, 02:15:30 PM »
You can vote for your goal of the season contenders. It seems we have written Duran out this season since he left as at least two contenders would have been his. I would have voted for his Everton stonker but with what is listed, Rogers v Citeh.

Men’s Goal of the Season nominees
Morgan Rogers v Brentford (H)
Morgan Rogers v Manchester City (H)
Ollie Watkins v Southampton (A)
John McGinn v Paris Saint-Germain (H)
Amadou Onana v Newcastle (H)

Video of them all on the link below.
https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2025/may/09/Vote-for-your-Aston-Villa-2024-25-Goal-of-the-Season/

Women's Goal of the Season nominees
Gabi Nunes v Manchester City (A)
Ebony Salmon v Crystal Palace (H)
Kirsty Hanson v Liverpool (A)
Kirsty Hanson v Arsenal (H)
Chasity Grant v Arsenal (H) (second goal)

No video of these to review before voting.

Jhon could fly in for a special guest appearance

Just bring him on twenty minutes before the end of the ceremony, for old times' sake

And he goes on to down a bottle of tequila, accidentally drop-kick a waitress through a window and then win every award.

That being the case why bother asking what we think is? Duran wins it for that goal v Munich.

It doesn’t really matter in the whole scheme of things but in terms of execution and importance that is the goal of the season.

They want to give it to a Villa Player. A football player. Not some cash chasing maverick.

Duran v Everton. Ignoring his goals is petty.

Duran's goal is easily the best.

Otherwise Rogers v Cit-eh

See whilst a great goal and well executed, Neuer being outside the box helped massively. But the Everton one, Pickford was on his line and the pace and whip on it put it in the back of the net in the only place he could score. Everyone in the stadium was shocked and Martinez's face told that story. Plus it got us 3 points.
