Bit nuts, what the fuck was wrong with the Marseille lot. Greenwood is a horrible piece of shit, thought Mings was going to kill him.

As for the game, good first half, not so good second. As much as I love big Ty, I thought he was at fault for the first goal and could of done better with the other two. Hey ho.

Only a friendly, but I do worry that when a team with a degree of athleticism gets in our face and presses us, we fall to pieces (see Palace, Crystal).

Mings had a nightmare.

The most inappropriate friendly since Creed v Drago.

Very good 😅

Since we struggle with it, it makes a certain kind of sense to have arranged practice games against these sort of niggly aggressive pressing teams.

When Mings did a wrestle take on greenwoods shirt and destroyed it you could see fear in Greenwoods eyes just after (IMO). A bit special that.

I imagine it was a similar look to his girlfriend's. He's scum.

I only did see second half, we defended well with most of the team being our second team. When they scored their two goals our team had started to get tired, if substitutions before that might not have happened. Someone on the thread mentioned that we need upgrade on Cash, it s been said for years now, Emery seems to rate him though.

On a positive note, whisper it but the football appears to be improving.

Except we didn’t fall to pieces today. We just didn’t expect that last 20 min assault in a friendly.

The point was to get the players more used to longer minutes as most of the time they have played just 45. It is the reason why we have a match tomorrow so most of the players who didn't start this one start that one. Whilst a win would be nice, it isn't that neccesary today or tomorrow.

Whoever picked this as a friendly didn't do their homework on who plays for them.

Wonder if Partey will play tomorrow, make it a double header of terrible teams.

So we play Villarreal tomorrow night? Seems too close to this game in sweltering heat. I know they'll rotate but it's far too soon between games. We got kicked all over the place tonight so there's bound to be players carrying knocks. The ref was weak and basically shite tonight!
