Disasi doesn't look comfortable as a full back. He may get there in time but an important run in doesn't feel like the best time to try and get someone else's player there.
My Chelsea-supporting mates told me when we brought him that he's a decent CB but not to play him at RB 'cos he's rubbish in that role!

Asensio is a game maker not game changer. Subbing him on at 60 plus has not worked that well.
Worked perfectly vs BHA
Brugge too. Watkins had a huge impact off the bench v Soton recently. McGinn played well on the left v Brighton too. I'm sure Emery could point to his unbreakable faith in Rogers, even in that position, being vindicated of late too. So Disasi aside, criticising the others he brought on is after timing really.
My issue was replacing Ramsey which was ridiculous when clearly McGinn should have replaced Rogers on the right. Disasi coming on just gave the impression we were sitting in for the point. You know we can't build any patterns of play with him at RB, he struggled even with the throw ins! McGinn to protect Cash and then bring on Garcia if you must a bit later would have been better (why else have him on bench??)
To be honest I would have hooked Onana at half time for McGinn, pushed Rogers into the middle and Tielemans dropping back. There was a chance to really go at Citeh last night, even at half time
Agree with all of that. I was all for getting Rogers off but Onana was not making much impact either.

Doku's first touch was poor yet he still managed to beat Disasi to the ball. He seems a bit muscle bound, slow out of the blocks , once he gets going he's fast though and we see that in the lunging tackles . He's not a keeper .

Doku's control was shite but ironically and fucking frustratingly for us, it's what did for Disasi who over-committed in response.

Exactly the same comment from the Chelsea fans I spoke to.
He is not a Right Back, it’s MON Carlos Cuellar scenario, except this manager had more options.

Not quick and nimble enough , the ball was loose but he wasn't quick enough and then doku was in his rear view mirrors

Quick and nimble are not words I would associate with Disasi.

Signed as an emergency cover CB , UE using some artistic licence which he will reflect on no doubt .

I had £5 on the draw at 14/5. I am personally going to ask Disasi for my nineteen quid

Was surprised when Ollie was left out, but should have been given at least 30 mins and also not giving Maatsen, after his superb display on Saturday, any game time was totally baffling.
Watkins never seems as effective when he comes on as sub compared to when he starts. I imagine he will start at Wembley.

I agree, I also think Rashford seems to set the cat among the pigeons more coming on late. I’d definitely go the other way round. Especially considering we could end up with penalties.

Been away from my computer for a few days!

Both goals conceded the other night were down to defenders and goalkeeper not doing their jobs properly. This should have been ironed out months ago IMHO? It was a deflating result but fortunately I don't think it will have a bearing on Saturday?
