This just feels like a free hit. If we go down, I hope we go down all guns blazing.

I kind of agree. I feel like losing last year in the SFs we didn't really give a good account of ourselves. There were reasons for that but it was disappointing still. To skip forward a year and be in a Champions League QF is unbelievable. I believe we can get a result tonight if everyone is at 100% for every second of the game, but if we lose playing that way, I can't really complain.

I'm not anxious about the game tonight, as I don't expect us to go through. That might change if we're 2 or 3 up with 10 minutes to go, but I'll be a lot more nervous ahead of the semi-final against Palace.

Yup, spot on.

We either do something unexpected and spectacular, or we've done better than pretty much everyone expected at the start of the season and we've given our first season back a right good go.

Nothing to be nervous about.

Yep that’s where I am. If we get through it’d be an astonishing surprise, so I’m quite relaxed.

What this run has reinforced to me, regardless of the outcome tonight, is we need to back at this stage. So I’m really nervous about the league games.

We are a game away from a European cup semi final, maybe against a team we quite often beat.  Even if we qualified again through  the league (I think we might well do so), getting this close to winning this cup is rare as fuck for any team outside Real Madrid.  So, let’s give it everything we’ve got.  No fear, no being content with getting this far, unless we lose the game.

The squad and coaching team are here on merit.

Main thing for me is don't take a twatting, and ideally keep the unbeaten home run going. Anything more than that is a bonus.

We're not beating the best team in the competition by 2 goals.

Exactly. It will be at least by 4.

I'm trying to help SE out with the footballing gods bollocks!

And it's very much appreciated. Hope is a terrible thing, we must extinguish it wherever we find it.

Indeed, it's the hope that kills you.

Think Champions League is still an hour before kick-off.
