Only way is to play so Olsen has nothing to do, might be a possibility there. Whats up with Emil anyway? Emil had some trouble against Palace sitting out second half - might be that we rest him for CL, strange IMO.

What the fuck is going on?! What does Malen have to do? It looks like a punishment signing for the lad so far. Ramsey hasn't done anything apart from score offside goals in ages. We're worried about their physicality so we leave our best DM on the bench...

Nothing makes sense.

Team selection suggests Emery has realised the cups are the priority now. Reality setting in re top5 chances.

If that were the priority he'd be starting Garcia and Malen bearing in mind they can't play in our next cup game.

Also, a win now would put us 7th, 2 points off 4th place. He may he prioritising cups, but the reality of Top5 is that its still very much achievable.

Come on Villa. Even with Olsen

Mind you Brentford needing a result at home after a poor run. Hello Aston Villa

He's constantly saying that the league is the priority, always.

He's hidden it well with the last couple of team selections.

We do have actual right fit backs at the club, don’t we ??

Just the two on the bench.

This is a ludicrous team selection. We can't really be complaining about fatigue if likes of Tielemans and Watkins keep getting selected. Really no need to risk Mings picking up another injury either.

Huge game for Ramsey this I feel. Beyond awful at Wolves when given a start but decent cameos since. Time to deliver.

He’s just said it again

Haven’t we moaned about not using the squad more and now we have we’re not happy?

I find that starting line up curious. 2 right backs on the bench and neither starting, in favour of a full back. Even if they are both carrying knocks give them just a half each or whatever...

Brentford matches always devolve into a shithouse mess. I still think we’ll win.

UE being interviewed now. Insisting both EM and MA suffering muscle discomfort.

Perhaps MA strained his neck...

Yes but it's the way we use it...I think it's fab in principle that we can lose two such big players and still put out a 20 that strong
