12 seasons out of European competition, followed by three seasons in it. I know which I prefer.

In and if a player is picking with or without it’s pretty obvious

They fleeced us for Barkley 5 years ago, £11m to have him on-loan. How about they knock half that value off Jackson as a late refund for Roscoe being pretty shite for the second half of 2020/21?

They didn't pay us for loaning Drinkwater either.

Sounds like Jackson is going somewhere, if Chelsea are not including in their match day squad. If he comes to us I expect it will be at 11.59 on deadline night like Disasi. Wonder if the price Manu wants for Gnarcho to Chelsea has an impact on Jackson. Also Palace selling Eze might mean they are interested in Dibbling. I wonder if we would gazump that deal once a price is agreed

God, good point! What have Chelsea ever done for us?

They got to benefit from Cahill as well (indirectly via Bolton tbf)

Kenny Swain and even then we had to turn him from a winger to a right back.

In again for Canvot again apparently, I cant see us not landing him now if true.
He seems to be number 1 target for CB.

Canvot
Asencio
Fort
Jackson

That would fill the gaps in the squad nicely i think and be a better balanced squad than the end of last season.
Hemmings breakthrough season as well as Jimoh-Aloba would be nice to see how we go.
Fort for 20, Canvot for 20 ish, Asencio for 20 ish if the rumors are true plus Jackson at 60.

Canvot, Fort and Jackson would cost us 20 million a season in amortized fees if they all have a 5 year contract.
Asencio would cost about 6.7 a season for 3 years.

Totaling 26.7 million a season cost. I would assume their wages would be a lot less than the players that have left combined.

I would be happy with this end to the window all be it i would rather not pay a fee for Asencio.

I think it's extremely optimistic (unfortunately) for the above to happen, but I agree, it would be good if it did.

Asencio aside, it also fits the bill to get the age of the squad down.

I do think Canvot and Fort will happen but the other two potentially not.

Canvot and Fort sounds like wine you can get £6 off if you use your club card at Tesco.

The figure I saw mentioned for Fort was for a lot less than 20m.

Dont knock cheap wine lol, The best port I have ever had was 2 euros a bottle from a vinyard in Portugal!.
I also don't mind Jammy Red Rue for £7 a bottle
