Colorado Rapids

I say this with the full expectation of being ridiculed, but...... I love those kits 😍 who needs blue sleeves!

Edit - they refer to it as burgundy, apparently.

Looks pretty smart to me.

Any other foreign teams play in claret and blue? Loads probably but I can only immediately think of Trabzonspor.

Absolutely tonnes!

Caxias do Sul (Brazil), there's another team in Turkey, other than Trabzonspor. AB Argir (Faroes), Galway Utd (Ireland), Enosis Neon Paralimni (Cyprus), not sure about Eston Villa, Weiche Flensburg (Germany).

Quite a lot of others in England too.

Galway Utd? Erm, no. That’s Galway maroon same as the GAA teams.

Their kits can vary from the current (dark) maroon to reddish burgundy to claret and blue. They've had some shockers.

However, if you look at the colours on their crest, most people would say they were claret and blue.

Atlético del Rosario (from same city as Rosario Central and Newell's Old Boys) play in Claret and Blue (hoops).

More known for it's rugby team, but has readopted football as a sport.

There was always a Galway flag in the Holte back in the late '70s into the '80s.

Drogheda United play in claret & blue.

Colwyn Bay also play in claret & blue - currently claret body blue sleeves, but their kit design is all over the place - think normally theirs looks more like a late 1970s / early 80s West Ham shirt

Chelford City .... is that down to us signing Nigel Spink from them for a set of tracksuits or such like?
Or were they C&B beforehand?

I must have missed the opening post regarding the Argentine connection.
What's interesting is Tom Pank, one of our early players from the late 1870 - early 1880s, had a brother Frank. He also played for us (mainly for the second team). Frank's son, also named Frank, moved to South America. Argentina I think. An engineer by trade, possible with the railways. You never know......
