We've tried all sorts at home against this lot. Sunday, all out attack please Villa.

I'm going...

Emi

Garcia Konsa Digne Maatsen

Kamara Onana

Rogers Ramsey Rashford

Malen

Rest Youri, I think he needs it. Got a feeling Ramsey central with Rashford and Rogers off him and Malens pace will seriously hurt them. Add I Maatsen overlap. Bang.

Simon Dawkins and Josh Onomah

Was going to use Dawkins over Carroll, but he never played for Spurs.

True (made the first team bench) but they did employ him!

I just can't see UE changing formation at this point.  I think he's brought Rashford in to play as a central striker and we'll see him come on off the bench in that position on Sunday.

I don't think Rashford's main role here will be as a central striker.

Pretty much confirmed in his press conference today he plans to play him off the left.

I just can't see where else he fits in though?  I'd be amazed if UE suddenly abandons the formation he has used since he has been here and starts playing with an attacking wide left player.  I can't recall Rashford playing on the right or in the 'number 10' spot either.

I'll go with that, great line up to get at them.

He fits on the left. Where Ramsey is meant to be. I wonder if Unai moves Ramsey to the right for a while, but I'd like to see him centrally, with Rogers coming from deeper on the right. There's a huge amount of fluidity in that though. Also JJ might not be here in the longer term, he's a very profitable commodity.

Some talented young photoshopper should knock up a Villa poster based on this (smashing) film

They need to learn the Natu Natu dance for a group goal celebration.

Hopefully Marlen's head will be in the right place , that news he took earlier in the week can't have been easy to process.

We'll see I guess.  The role Ramsey plays on the left is quite a niche one as it isn't really a wide attacking role like Bailey and others play on the right.  In Ramsey's absence, we've seen quite a few players struggle to play in there, with only really Rogers looking anywhere near comfortable.

Guess we'll get an idea tomorrow, but it wouldn't surprise me if he features as a central striker, at least while Watkins is out.

I was asked if there's any away friendly pubs near the ground. I don't think there is anymore?

So I've pointed Big Norm to the Bartons. If you see him (he's big ) say hello, he's a lovely bloke.

Will he be keeping his colours hidden or wearing a Holsten retro top?
